The home office experienced a boom due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but now companies are focusing on returning to the office. Aeris showed how ergonomic office furniture can help shape the future of work in the IDX 81 showroom at the Munich Creative Business Week 2024. Highlight: An evening event with a panel discussion on New Work and the importance of inspiring work environments.
From home office back to the office
In the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, home offices have experienced an enormous upswing in recent years and have had a significant impact on the modern working world. But now a new trend is emerging: many companies are trying to get their employees back into the office more - for example by creating an attractive working environment. A survey by the ifo Institute of around 9,000 companies shows that at the beginning of this year almost a quarter of employees in Germany worked predominantly from home. According to ifo expert Jean-Victor Alipour, this proportion has remained almost unchanged for two years.
New Work at Aeris: Organization, culture and infrastructure
For Aeris, New Work means the interaction of organization, culture and infrastructure. Office design with equipment that promotes movement also plays an important role. Our ergonomic office furniture enables dynamic, flexible working and influences the everyday working life so that employees are still full of energy even after work. With our timeless designs and innovative technologies, we can actively help shape the future of work.

As part of the Munich Creative Business Week 2024, Aeris had the great opportunity to present some of our office furniture in the IDX 81 showroom in the House of Communications, Munich's Werksviertel, from May 11 to 17. The location concept "IDX - Your Stage" is operated by the three premium brands Gabriel, Artemide and Ege Carpets to create a platform for encounters, creativity and networking. The exhibition "Dynamic working environments of tomorrow" with office furniture from Aeris was explicitly aimed at (interior) architects who want to take modern working environments to a new level by combining dynamic seating and design. A special exhibit was the Swopper with the exclusive "cubic" fabric from Gabriel, which is not available in our range:

Panel discussion: The future of work in focus
The highlight of this week was definitely the evening event with an exciting panel discussion with our speakers Benjamin Rolff, Natascha Ninic and Martina Rahmfeld. We delved deeply into the topic of New Work and discussed the future of work and the development of the role of the office. From the different design options for the office to the importance of corporate values, the discussion offered insightful contributions and innovative ideas that opened up new perspectives.

Conclusion and outlook: What does the future of work hold?
At the end of the discussion, it was clear that New Work is not necessarily the solution for everyone and every individual situation. Rather, it is about defining a clear corporate identity, embodying the corporate values as such and shaping the way of working together accordingly.
For all those who unfortunately missed our exhibition and were unable to attend our event: No need to worry! The topics of the panel discussion will soon be discussed in more detail in a podcast with Benjamin Rolff, an expert in healthy leadership, self-leadership and new leadership. As soon as this is available on the usual streaming platforms, we will inform you in our newsletter and on Instagram!
Many thanks to all participants for the lively exchange of ideas. You made the event a complete success. Here's to the future of work and its endless possibilities!
