Statutory Warranty
Consumers have statutory warranty rights against the respective seller in the event of defective goods. For goods sold within the European Union, a statutory warranty period of at least two years generally applies.
A warranty claim may arise in particular if the goods do not match the agreed description or do not function as intended. The applicable statutory provisions are those of the respective country.
Under the statutory warranty, consumers may in particular request a free repair or a free replacement delivery. In certain cases, a price reduction or a refund of the purchase price may also be considered.
In the event of a possible warranty claim, please contact the seller from whom you purchased the Aeris product. Please keep a suitable proof of purchase, such as an invoice or receipt, ready.
For further information, please see the official information sheets on the statutory warranty:
Important note: The statutory warranty rights exist independently of the voluntary Aeris manufacturer's warranty described below. They are neither restricted nor replaced by the manufacturer's warranty.
Voluntary Aeris Manufacturer's Warranty
The period for calculating the warranty term begins with the invoice date for direct purchases from Aeris, or with the purchase date at an authorized Aeris retail partner. We grant a voluntary manufacturer's warranty of three years on all our products.
If material or manufacturing defects occur on original parts within the warranty period, we will, at our discretion, provide one of the following services under the manufacturer's warranty:
- free repair of the goods at our factory,
- free replacement of the goods with an equivalent item, if applicable also with a successor model, provided the original goods are no longer available,
- free delivery of the spare parts required for the repair, if applicable in exchange for the return of the claimed parts.
Aeris determines the type of warranty service after assessing the damage. A warranty service provided does not extend the original warranty period, nor does it restart it.
Please contact us directly in the event of a warranty claim if you purchased the goods directly from Aeris. If you purchased the goods from an authorized Aeris retail partner, please contact that retail partner first.
Excluded Warranty Claims
Warranty claims are excluded in particular for damage to the goods caused by the following circumstances:
- improper or inappropriate handling or use,
- exceeding the maximum permissible weight load,
- environmental influences such as moisture, heat, overvoltage, or dust,
- failure to observe the intended safety precautions,
- failure to observe the assembly or user instructions,
- impact, for example due to blows, knocks, or falls,
- unauthorized repair attempts, improper interventions, or maintenance work carried out by persons not authorized by Aeris,
- normal wear and tear of the upholstery fabrics, damage caused by care errors, as well as impact, scratch, and tear damage,
- defects in special items, such as special constructions, upholstery fabrics supplied by the customer, or special paint finishes.
Assessment of the Warranty Claim and Return Shipment
Making use of the manufacturer's warranty requires that Aeris is enabled to assess the warranty claim. This may require sending the defective goods or individual components to Aeris.
Please make sure that the goods are packaged sufficiently and securely for transport, so as to avoid damage during shipping. For the safe return transport of your Aeris product to our factory, we are happy to provide suitable transport packaging if needed, subject to cost coverage. The transport costs are borne by the warranty claimant, unless otherwise agreed in an individual case.
Required Proof of Purchase
To claim a warranty service, you must provide suitable proof of purchase, in particular a copy of the original invoice. The invoice serves, among other things, to establish the purchase date and calculate the warranty period.
Without suitable proof of purchase, Aeris may refuse to provide a voluntary warranty service.
Please also let us know the name and address of the seller, if this information is not already apparent from the invoice. This allows us to check whether the product was purchased directly from Aeris or from an authorized Aeris retail partner.
Repairs Outside the Warranty Period
For repairs outside the warranty period, you will receive a cost estimate after assessment.
