Statutory Consumer Rights
Consumers have statutory rights against the respective seller in the event of defective goods. For goods sold within the European Union, a statutory liability period of at least two years generally applies.
A lack of conformity may exist, in particular, if the goods do not match the agreed description or do not function as intended. The applicable statutory provisions of the respective country shall apply.
Under statutory consumer rights, consumers may, in particular, request repair or replacement of defective goods free of charge. In certain circumstances, a price reduction or a refund of the purchase price may also be available.
If you wish to make a claim under your statutory consumer rights, please contact the seller from whom you purchased your Aeris product. Please have suitable proof of purchase, such as an invoice or receipt, available.
Further information can be found in the official information sheets on statutory consumer rights:
Important notice: Your statutory consumer rights exist independently of the voluntary Aeris manufacturer's warranty described below. These rights are neither restricted nor replaced by the manufacturer's warranty.
Voluntary Aeris Manufacturer's Warranty
The warranty period begins on the invoice date if the product was purchased directly from Aeris, or on the purchase date if it was purchased from an authorised Aeris retail partner. We provide a voluntary manufacturer's warranty of three years on all our products.
If defects in materials or workmanship occur in original components during the warranty period, we will provide one of the following remedies under the manufacturer's warranty, at our discretion:
- repair of the product at our factory free of charge,
- replacement of the product free of charge with an equivalent item, which may also be a successor model if the original product is no longer available,
- free delivery of the spare parts required for repair, where applicable in exchange for the defective parts.
Aeris will determine the type of warranty service after examining the defect. Any warranty service provided will neither extend the original warranty period nor cause it to start again.
In the event of a warranty claim, please contact us directly if you purchased the product from Aeris. If you purchased the product from an authorised Aeris retail partner, please contact the respective retail partner first.
Exclusions from the Manufacturer's Warranty
Warranty claims are excluded, in particular, where damage to the product has been caused by any of the following circumstances:
- misuse or improper handling or use,
- exceeding the maximum permitted weight capacity,
- environmental influences such as moisture, heat, overvoltage or dust,
- failure to observe prescribed safety precautions,
- failure to follow the assembly or operating instructions,
- external force, for example impact, collision or dropping,
- unauthorised repair attempts, improper modifications or maintenance work carried out by persons not authorised by Aeris,
- normal wear and tear of upholstery fabrics, damage caused by improper care, as well as impact damage, scratches and tears,
- defects in special items, such as custom designs, customer-supplied upholstery fabrics or special finishes.
Assessment of Warranty Claims and Returns
In order to make a claim under the manufacturer's warranty, Aeris must be given the opportunity to examine the warranty claim. For this purpose, it may be necessary to send the defective product or individual components to Aeris.
Please ensure that the product is adequately and securely packaged for transport to prevent damage during shipping. If required, we can provide suitable transport packaging for the safe return of your Aeris product to our factory, subject to reimbursement of the associated costs. Transport costs shall be borne by the warranty holder unless otherwise agreed in the individual case.
Required Proof of Purchase
To request warranty service, you must provide suitable proof of purchase, in particular a copy of the original invoice. The invoice is used, among other things, to establish the purchase date and calculate the warranty period.
Without suitable proof of purchase, Aeris may refuse to provide service under its voluntary manufacturer's warranty.
Please also provide the name and address of the seller if this information is not already stated on the invoice. This allows us to verify whether the product was purchased directly from Aeris or from an authorised Aeris retail partner.
Repairs Outside the Warranty Period
For repairs outside the warranty period, you will receive a cost estimate following an assessment.
Please use our online complaint form to submit your request.
